The Stanley Police Department is located at 276 East Main Street and consists of four full time police officers. Each officer has their own vehicle so that calls can be answered during non-coverage hours.
They are assisted by the Page County Sheriff’s Department during off duty hours providing 24-hour coverage to the residents. The police department promotes several programs for children and crime safety throughout the year.

The men and women of the Stanley Police Department will strive at all times to provide peace and security to all residents and visitors to the Town of Stanley. We will strive to fairly and impartially enforce all laws of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the ordinances of the Town of Stanley. We will assist and aid other law enforcement agencies and emergency service agencies to protect the lives and property of our citizens and visitors. At all times, we will remain helpful and courteous and will strive to take the appropriate action in all matters. We will strive to treat all persons with respect without regard to race, sex, creed or religion.
Stanley Police received the most improved seat belt use in the region at 71%.
1st SGT. Ryan Dean was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant July 1, 2013. Lieutenant Dean has served the past fourteen years with the Stanley Police Department.
